New Film: ROAM

For the past year, we have been hard at work on our new film, ROAM. As the title suggests, we have been exploring the world with some of the best riders on the planet, and we found some amazing places to ride. ROAM is currently in post-production and will be ready for release in April.

~ The Collective

Okay, so this is really exciting. When The Collective came out in 2004, it was one of the best mountain biking films, and still is. I have been waiting for them to come out with another one. I think this one will be amazing. I can’t wait to see it.

Not So Dead USB Ports

So, I was already to phone Apple today. I thought I’d give the Support section one last hurrah, in case I missed something. I found a few new things to do, and tried them. It turns out that all I had to do was reset my PMU, and now they work. However, my USB key doesn’t. I think I am going to see about sending that one back. Anyways, just a simple update on the situation.

EDIT: I think I figured out what is going on. When I put my Data Traveller 2 in, it still didn’t work. But then, when I plugged my iPod into that same port right after, it didn’t work. I reset my PMU, and it works again. So I figure that my USB key is causing issues.

Dead USB Ports

Okay, so here is the deal. My two USB ports are dead. The one died like last week sometime, and took my USB key with it. The other one just died today. Now, I can’t update my iPod. I could if Apple wouldn’t have dropped the FireWire support. Anyway, so I go to the Apple site to fire off an email, so I can get this fixed ASAP, and I can’t do it anymore. Either the link is like hidden or they have taken it off. When I had iPod troubles, it was easy. I just sent them an email, and all was well. Now, I am going to have to phone them, which is going to cost me, as I am no longer in the 90 complimentary support window. I am thinking of getting the APP, and then I would be warrantied for another like 3 years too. Plus, then when I phone, it doesn’t cost me. Hopefully, I will get this issue settled quickly.

New Design

Well, as you have probably noticed, I changed the design and layout of the site. I didn’t actually technically design this myself, I got it from Open Source Web Design. I was too lazy to do it myself. I still had to make it work with WordPress though. That took like 6 hours or so, I know its a long time just to take something that is already made and apply it, but there was so many small details and such. Anyways, its all done now, or at least I think it is. If you encounter any problems, or strange things, please do report them. Thanks, I hope you like it.

Some Changes…

Okay, so there might be some changes to the site coming up soon. I just have to get a few things working and all. Plus, I have some new projects that I am working on. Not really the most exciting, but exciting for me. The site might be down for a while too, just cause.

Locked Out

Well, today, I got locked out. Its Janurary. Its cold. I mean, we are having a very VERY warm jan, but it is still cold, plus there was cold and bitter north wind. So, I got home at like 3:20 PM, and I was outside for like an hour. I played with my dog for a while, then I remembered that I had Star Wars Episode Three in my laptop, so I watched that. Man it was cold! Well, that was my adventure for the day. Hope you enjoyed reading about it.

New Year, Same Resolutions

Well, I just read my sister’s post about her new year’s resolutions, and it got me thinking about mine. They are the same as they were last year, nothing has changed. This just goes to show how lazy I really am. Well, here we go.

• Study More – Okay, so the problem is I don’t study, like at all. Like today for example, I have a math test tomorrow on Conics, and over Christmas break, I pretty well forgot everything. Its 10:30 right now, and I haven’t studied yet, and it doesn’t look like I will. Its a horrible thought, it really is. I have got to change that, especially with exams coming up in like two weeks.
• Actually do my homework – So here’s the scoop, I do it if it is due the next day. Doing it for like Chem or Physics isn’t hard, its the math that I don’t do. If I don’t do it in class, I’m probably not going to do it. Once again, this has got to change. Maybe thats why I’m not doing as well in math this year as last year.
• Get rid of the snotty look – So apparently I have a very snotty look. I’ll try to rid my life of it, but I just don’t see it happening.
• Watch more hockey - Well I really like hockey, but I never really watch it. I always seem to have something better to do. This one I really am going to try.
• Learn some new computer/web languages – Mostly web, but some others would be nice. I would really like to learn like Ruby and Java. The likelyhood of this happening is slim to none, because it just won’t happen. I have been trying to force myself to learn PHP for the past like four years, and it just isn’t happening. I mean I know PHP, well parts of it anyway, but I don’t know it like I should. It needs to get better.
• Continue with Linux – This one is already happening, and I just want to continue with it.
