This has to be one the coolest commericals I have ever seen. Its so cool, and it is in H.264. It looks so sweet!! For those of you out there, without the newest Quicktime, there is a low res version too. To view the commerical click here, then click on ‘high’ or ‘low’ on the right hand side.
From the Bouncy Balls site:
Bouncy Balls: The BRAVIA Commercial
“When you’re introducing the next generation of television, you want to make an impact - but that doesn’t mean you have to shout at the top of your voice. And it doesn’t mean you have to be predictable. To announce the arrival of the BRAVIA LCD and 3LCD range, we wanted to get across a simple message - that the colour you’ll see on these screens will be ‘like no other’.”
“Sending 250,000 multi-coloured ’superballs’ bouncing down the streets of San Francisco may seem the strangest way to do this, but that’s exactly what Danish director Nicolai Fuglsig did for the BRAVIA commercial in July this year. San Franciscans have seen some unusual things in their time, but even this gave them something to talk about. And we’ve got the feeling that this commercial is going to do exactly the same thing.”

Okay, well I got my mark back from the unit exam I wrote yesterday in math, and lets just say, I’m not impressed. The percentage is horrible, at least in my eyes. I mean, when you actually look at the mark, its not that bad. Because his tests are out of so little, each question is worth that much more. Ahh well, what are you going to do.
Well, my overall math mark isn’t that impressive either. I mean its good, but its not good enough. I guess we will have to wait and see. I an hoping to bring it up a bit.
Well, thats about all for today. How about some comments people? I would like to try out this system, but no one ever leaves any comments.

Well, I’ve moved servers, and the moved domains as well. My new blog can be found at http://www.joelsteeves.com I will no longer be updating this site. The RSS feeds also moved, if you go to my new site, I will have links to them in the navigation soon. For now, there are links at the bottom. The reason this site looks so funny is because I am trying to import the posts into my new blog. I don’t know if it is going to work, but we’ll see. Well, that’s all. Good bye blogger. Once again, my new blog can be found at http://www.joelsteeves.com

Well, I finally got WordPress up and going. I will be fiddling around with the settings, making it better over the next few days. As for previous posts, they may or may not be coming. Sorry. Hopefully, all will go well, and I’ll have this all going by next week sometime. As for my Maple Design site, it might be down for a while. I am trying to get it to work. But whatever, we will see.

Okay, so I have been making a website for my sister, and it looks great and all, except one thing. Internet Explorer. If you haven’t noticed already, I HATE Internet Explorer, why you ask? Because I have to add in special code so my pages work properly in Internet Explorer. This is because Internet Explorer does not support and follow the web standards set out by the W3C. It makes it so annoying. So this website doesn’t work in Internet Explorer. Its not my fault. Now I have to spend a whole bunch of time getting it to work, time I don’t really have. Thanks Microsoft, you sure make a quality product.
Now, if you haven’t already, please help a developer out, go and get yourself the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. It’s free, it’s more secure, and it supports the web standards. You can get it by clicking on the link of the right, or by click here.
Well, thats about it for now. As for the website, it is coming along nicely. The web badges are going up, more will be added later. I still have to fix the design. I am thinking of doing a complete redesign, so it might stay like this for a while, well I get the new design ready. The other pages are coming along, they still need work, but they’re getting there. Other than that, all is well.
I wrote three unit exams today, one in Math 30 Pure, one in Chem 20, and one in Physics 20. I am glad thats over with. It was tough, but I got through.

Well, I have been reading up on the new James Bond, Casino Royale, and I have to say, I think it is going to suck. I mean, how can you have a Bond movie without Moneypenny and Q? Or a James Bond film with less emphasis on stunts and gadgets? Its poposterous. People go to Bond films for the gadgets, the cars, the stunts etc. It’s a spy movie, it is supposed to have good stunts and fancy gadgets. That’s the point!!!! I think that this movie will flop for them. I’m hoping it does, so they’ll go back to what was good. I don’t get how they think that its going to work. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
I think this quote is pretty funny.
“Niether Miss Moneypenny nor Q will appear. Neither of them are in the book.” Michael G. Wilson said. “The film will update the novel but stick very closely to the storyline. In the story, Bond is just joining the service.”
Its funny because, if they wanted to stick close to the novel, they should be keeping Moneypenny. He says that she doesn’t appear.
“Miss Moneypenny would have been desirable but for eyes which were cool and direct and quizzical.” That’s in the book.
Do you suppose he’s actually read the book? I mean, I haven’t, I’d like to, if I could find it. Anyways, thats not the point, my point is, he is the Producer, he needs, NEEDS to have read the book.
I think that they will eventually script Q and Moneypenny back into the script. I just don’t know about this one. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens in the next little while.

Well, with the upcoming server switch, there might potentially be some downtime. This would only affect this site, and potentially my mailservers. Other sites hosted by me should not be affected. I am hoping to get MySQL up and running this weekend, and then get WordPress going. Then, all I need is to fix my mailservers. When the switch is completed the offical domain of this site will be http://www.joelsteeves.com. No more forwarding. I will have mapledesign.ca./blog forward to joelsteeves.com however, so even if you don’t change over, or forget or whatever, then you will still arrive here, at your destination.
Well, hopefully all will go well, and there won’t be any downtime what so ever. But that is not likely to happen. I just thought I’d let you folks know.
Oh, and if you need to contact me, and the other email, the ones at mapledesign.ca don’t work, email me at Gmail. That would be joel dot steeves at gmail dot com.
I doubt you’ll need that, but whatever.

Currently, I am working on attaining a clutter free work environment. Yeah, its not working out so well. People aren’t co-operating, and this place is a disaster. I mean, its not that bad, but its bad. I’m trying to get another printer stand, a new CD rack, and another book shelf. Yeah, that’s happening! Ha, yeah right. This seems to be impossible. It doesn’t help that my server is in pieces. I should get that cleaned up. Plus, I have to install the new printer, but it needs a new home first. Plus, there is too many chairs in here. Ideally, I would like to move everything into the new found “toy” room, but that’s really isn’t going to happen. Maybe, I could have my own office, and my dad can have his. I’ll move my server, laptop, speakers, books etc in there, and he can keep his computer in here. All I need now is the internet in the other room. This could work, NOT! That is the problem. I can’t seem to do anything!
I did manage to get my to get a spot for my books on the shelf. I just cleared out some CDs, and stuck them in. I need more shelf space, but once again, that won’t happen.
Well, that’s my story for this Wednesday. Hope you had fun reading, cause I sure didn’t have fun writing.
