Friends Don’t Let Friends Use IE

July 22nd, 2005

Well I found this picture actually quite awhile ago, I just got around to posting it and sharing it with you today. Anyways, this picture illustrates why a person should not use IE. Picture Link. If you would like to download Firefox, please click the link on the side menu.

On another note, I leave for a nice, well deserved vacation on Monday. I am super stoked (it had to be used.) We are taking a laptop, so I can watch movies and we are taking our truck. I think we are also taking our bikes, so hopefully, I can do some biking, an activity that has been lacking in my life lately.

In other news, police surrounded a convenience store today, where a Sasquatch was attempting to buy Haagen-Dazs ice cream. Good ole Dilbert. Dilbert has got to be one of the funniest comics out there. If you haven’t signed up to receive your Daily Dilbert, go to http://www.dilbert.com and sign up today!

I have finished the Springbank Curling Club website. Unfortunately for you, the guy I am working with at the curling club got married on Saturday, and thus the site is not publicly viewable yet. Soon. I also finished the Merrill Family Reunion site. For all of you descendants of Magrath and Ina Merrill, go and put the registration and RSVP forms to work. Unfortunately, (here’s where the misfortunes of the sites title come into play) the forms did not quite work out the way I wanted them too, but they will do for now. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the link to the site. It can be found here or for you non-clickers, it can be found at http://www.merrillreunion.ca.

Well, that about does it for this Friday. What a fun Friday night that was. I spent it on the computer, doing image manipulation, and other fun stuff. Oh well.

Golfing with Jann Arden

July 8th, 2005

Well, the other night, one of my friends from work invited me to go golfing with him. We decided to meet back at the golf course at about 3 pm. I got there a little late, but that is aside from the point. When I got there, he had already put our names on the list for available tee times. We shot some balls at the range, went to the putting green yada yada yada. Then we decided to go check and see if it looked like we were going to be able to go. The guy in the Pro Shop said it was unlikely that we would get on, as it was men’s night. We were walking away when they called us back. He said he had a tee time for 4:47 pm, we said sure. He then told us that we would be golfing with Jann Arden. We were both like, are you serious? He wasn’t lying. So we went over to the halfway house to see what they knew about Jann Arden. They didn’t seem to know much.

So, we showed up for our tee time, and sure enough it was Jann Arden. She introduced herself as Jann, and was golfing with Wendy. If it had not been for the Pro Shop, we probably would have never known. I must say, she was pretty mouthy. She was a pretty good golfer though, she definitly beat me. I had a sucky round.

Overall, it was an interesting experiance. Definitly one I probably won’t forget. It is also one that is kinda cool to tell other people.
